Cops and Robbers is a one-man play created and performed by Jinho “The Piper” Ferreira, an award winning hip-hop artist and deputy sheriff of Alameda County California.
The one-man show dissects an officer-involved shooting through the perspectives of 17 characters. It examines the relationship between law enforcement, the media and the Black community and as the details of the case emerge, challenges the audience to reconsider stereotypical views on race and class.
It is a call to action for those who care about equality and hold the belief that the ideals of this country must be demonstrated in behavior as well as in words.
